Different results from one install CD: KMenu issues

Thanks for that:

Jim said  "AFAIK if there are no items in a section eg Edutainment then 
that is not shown", which was the clue I needed.  In Games, for example, 
there were some installed, not by me, therefore I suppose  part of the 
default set-up, and these didn't appear in the list.  But I downloaded a 
few more and all of those plus a decent selection of those that were 
already there now appeared in the Menu.  I just added the rest by hand 
by comparing the two machines.

You sometimes just need a hint to learn, and I'm grateful.  I'll settle 
for never knowing why the same CD had different results on two machines 
- at least I can deal with this effect now.  It's something else to look 
out for when I recommend others to Kubuntu, as I will.
