DVD not recognised

I installed Feisty on my wife computer which is a AMDK8 with 1,5G ram,
cdrom, dvd-rom, 2 x hard drives. Everything mounts correctly except the
dvd-rom. The system sees it and mounts it as a cdrom. The other cdrom works
correctly, bit the dvd does not. Tried all possible changes in Fstab to fix,
but it does not work. Any ideas?
