Thank You for the suggestions.
Since the k3B still worked fine, and the KMail and the konqueror too, I took
the option to make copies of my relevant files to DVD with k3B. My email
adresses and the internet markers I exported them before to an external disk,
so I could also save with the k3B.
Thinking that the problem was not a small one, I preferred to reinstall
kubuntu again starting from zero. Having all the data and configurations at
disposition, it's OK.
