Only with bad mail/news programs.  Strictly speaking, the subject has
nothing to do with threading, but since Outlook Express didn't originally
understand that, most mail & news programs have been forced to include the
option of threading by subject.  Properly, threading occurs when the
headers reference the message-ID of a prior message.
