.xsession-errors file filling up...

Last night Kubuntu Feisty was telling me my 140gb hard drive was FULL!

Come off it, I don't download THAT much! :D

After rooting around I found my .xsession-errors file to be 89gb! After
deleting this file I had to log out/in to see the free space again but since
yesterday i've been keeping a close eye on the .xsession-errors file and
within one day its up to 1mb. It seems to be filling up again.

Start with something like :
Xsession: X session started for ronnie at Wed May 9 00:05:57 BST 2007
startkde: Starting up...
startkde: kpersonalizer not found! Please install to properly configure your
user.
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 167
  Major opcode:  144
  Minor opcode:  3
  Resource id:  0x0
Failed to open device

repeats the BadDevice section a few times then has stuff like :
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
QPainter::end: Missing begin() or begin() failed
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
... repeated quite a few times.

If I sit with the file open in Kate after a few seconds Kate will tell me the
file has been updated and I need to reload it, so something somewhere is
continually sending info to my .xsessions-errors file.

Is there any way to have it record only certain errors or even to turn it
off? Otherwise I reckon it'll fill my hard drive again... :/

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
