Unfortunately, they said they won't be getting Linux-compatible modems,
because Winmodems are cheaper (probably by about $2.50...).  They have
committed to using hardware with libre/open source drivers where
possible (other than that and video).  We'll see how seriously they take
that

Really, all GNU/Linux distributions, since they have most things in
common especially hardware-wise.  As Dell starts demanding FOSS drivers,
it will benefit everyone.
