kernel build... howtos don't help

Hi,

I followed this guide : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelCustomBuild

Which was telling to use this command :
AUTOBUILD=1 fakeroot debian/rules binary-debs

And it gave me the error I mentionned...

Anyway : I succeeded in compiling only a (external) module for the 
kernel and sent an email about a rough guide I created on an Ubuntu wiki 
(subject : Core 2 Duo CPU temperature (with lm-sensors))...

I don't see this mail in my kubuntu-users@[...] list folder, I'm 
wondering if it was really sent ?
