I'mnow sure that that's the reason for the malfunction. After an backup
of my important files I downloaded a new dvd-iso from kubuntu.org.
I reinstalled the complete system and tested Digikam. It worked fine,
imported the pics from my camera.
Ater upgrading the 123 recommanded packages Digikam still worked but
again without the ability to load the pics from my camera.
I installed once more the whole system and are now searching for the
packages with the faulty libraries for excluding them from upgrading.
