Hello,
i want to watch tv on my computer.
I have an old Videocard with a BT878 chip on it.
TV always worked for me until i got a new computer.
(The card is the same)
If i try to start kdetv it tells me:
Unable to grab video.
Video display is not possible with the current plugin configuration. Try
playing with the configuration options of the V4L2 plugin.
Console output gives me:
kdetv: WARNING: KXvDevice::rebuildImage: XvCreateImage failed.
ASSERT: "xv_image != 0" in /build/buildd/kdetv-0.8.9/./kdetv/kvideoio/kxv.cpp
(683)
X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8
Major opcode: 141
Minor opcode: 17
Resource id: 0x0
Under Windows the card still works.
I use feisty Herd5 and have an ATI graphiccard with two monitors
plugged in.
I installed the actual binary driver from ati website.
kdetv works neither under root nor under normal user login.
Playing around with the v4l settings didnt help too.
No other TV application works.
Somebody having an idea what may be the problem?
Greetings
Sven Richter
