Problem with Adept updates

I need a little help figuring out what is going wrong with applying some
updates using Adept. I ahve the notification showing up in the tray on
the bottom of my screen, and when I try to apply the upgrades I get an
error:

"There was en error committing changes. Possibly there was a problem
downloading some packages or the commit would break packages"

Since this has been going on for afew days now, I am thinking it is
probably a problem with something breaking a package. How do I figure
out and fix the problem?
