You meant to say "distro" instead of "application," but yes. There is no
pointy clicky way out of the box. Kubuntu wants users to use the "System
Settings" thing on the K Menu. I'm not sure if this "System Settings" thing
is a part of KDE, or something Kubuntu cooked up.
I assume it's all about trying to make things "more friendly" or something. I
don't know. Ubuntu has always had a lot of things to un-hack to make it into
a real distro, but it still has advantages over pure Debian in spite of the
added irritation.
