copying home movie DVD's

Correct, choose Video DVD, put the VOB files into the VIDEO_TS (?)
directory that should already be there and then burn that.

Alternatively if you can choose copy DVD, just use the same source and
destination drives if you don't have two DVD drives and choose "Create
image file" and "Delete image file when complete" or whatever it is
after you click on "Copy".
