Hi Mario,

This is my output (now I am on vacations in the island of Menorca using
my 3G vodafone card ...)

$ sudo ./dial_3g.sh
Password:
--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.56
--> Cannot get information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: ATZ
ATZ
OK
--> Sending: ATZ
ATZ

--> Sending: ATE0V1&D2&C1S0=0+IFC=2,2
ATE0V1&D2&C1S0=0+IFC=2,2
OK
--> Sending: AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","ac.vodafone.es";
OK
--> Modem initialized.
--> Sending: ATDT*99***1#
--> Waiting for carrier.
CONNECT 384000
--> Carrier detected. Starting PPP immediately.
--> Starting pppd at Sun Jul 22 17:08:53 2007
--> Pid of pppd: 5950
--> Using interface ppp0
--> local  IP address 77.209.18.155
--> remote IP address 10.64.64.64
--> primary   DNS address 212.73.32.3
--> secondary DNS address 212.73.32.67

Jordi, it's exactly the same. Today I installed firefox via adept manager (because apt-get works) and it works! So it must be an issue with konqueror. Firefox opens all web site. So tomorrow I'll start to use my kubuntu system. As soon as I'll be back I'll remove XP. ;)

Just one quick thing. Did you try to use kppp instead of wvdial. It seems to have the same flexibility to create a modem and set up the modem parameters.

I really want to say thanks to you and Howard for the great support.

Ciao
Mario
