sudo update-alternatives ??
You can do:
sudo update-alternatives --all
To update the configuration of ALL programs, it just skips over most
as there's only one executable for everything. On a note here, this is
how you make sure your links in different apps use Firefox instead of
Konqueror as a browser ( x-windows-browser I think it was )
