I'm an old man with failing memory. I had problems with both. I was
thinking one thing and answering another. I have received so much help
from the forum, I cherish the opportunity to pass along help to others.
I probably won't be much help, but I continue to try. You are kind in
the way you correct me. My heart is in the right place, even when my 2
little electrons don't make proper contact too much of the time. I
can't remember how I fixed my video card problems, sorry. Being so new
to Linux, I had so many challenges that many of them blurred together.
If Adept Manager ever locks up on you telling you that there is a
program in the background you must first turn off to operate, I have
saved the fix for that and helped maybe one half dozen so far. Good
luck with video card video problems. This is a great forum, and people
are very willing to help, even a good portion of real specialists. :-P
Have a great day and a better tomorrow, Steven, fine-artist retired.
By the way, the updates seemed to fix my sound card and Also. It is a
Sound Blaster Audigy II. Usually, when you're older, it is the mind
that happens to go first, mine went a long time before that. And Cudos
even though I don't know what that means, however I think something
good--I hope.
