I saw this too.  Sounds like you have to have working 3D support for this to 
do its thing, which is a shame.  Kuickshow didn't require working 3D support, 
and it was at least twice as fast as Gwenview.  Gwenview is fine, but it's 
such a slow dog to run.

(Yeah, I can fix 3D support by building custom modules for my custom kernel, 
but every time I fool around with the proprietary ATI drivers my system gets 
unstable.  Meh.  It's not worth all that.)
