Kubuntu useless for ripping CDs

k3b is for burning, not ripping.  Two ways to rip in KDE (probably more):

kaudiocreator is KDE's answer to grip (gnome).

konqueror makes this easy.  
1. insert a CD.
2. Open konqueror and type 'audiocd:/' in the location field.
3. Konqueror will display 'virtual folders' with names 
like 'ogg', 'mp3', 'wav', etc. 
4. Open the folder that you want to rip, and just copy the 'virtual files' to 
the place you want the audio files on your hard drive.

Drag and drop.  That's it.
