...and another suggestion. Before you get any program, install a Hosts
file to which you can add specific sites. This works by directing your
browser to your own computer rather than the address of the site.
There are files which need a little bit of tweaking to make them useful
for Linux users, but probably the best one is at:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/
Next, get Privoxy to run as a proxy server. You can adjust the
configuration file to block web sites and it will also block unwanted
ads.
