Cannot burn DVD with k3b

I'm tring to burn a DVD with K3b. When the burn window comes up, it
complains of an input/output error By looking at the debig info, I
think that I've narrowed down the problem to a bad cahracter encoding.

I have hundereds of folders in UTF-8, and I cannot simply rename them
all to be compatable with k3b. Also, k3b has worked for me in the
past. What must I do? Thanks.
