Thx for that, I'll go have a look, but this is about more than any one bit of 
software. I suffered with Inkscape, wxPython and Firefox (and others too, but 
they don't stick in my memory).

It's a feeling of having to start over again from scratch every 12 months or 
be totally left behind by new versions of software that I don't like. Just 
wondering what the reasons are for this reality.
