Quicktime *.mov video from internet

OK I had some more time to work on this. I downloaded all of the packages
suggested in this post and in earlier posts on the same topic. I also
downloaded MPlayer/KMPlayer/Mozilla-MPlayer. What was posted here has
allowed me to baseline my installation with what others have installed and
has worked.

The quicktime movies buffer to about about 15-20 percent, then stall, then
abort. Same results regardless of which package I choose to use. Konqueror
crashes, Firefox shows Quicktime 7 recognized in its plugins but does nothing
more than the others. I am thinking that the issue is some sort of
configuration that has to do with how streams are downloaded, buffered,
recognized, and played.

Anymore help on the topic would be appreciated. I will go back to digging on
the forums this weekend.
