Converting RPM packages

First off, the software will not work in Edgy, but does work in Dapper (unless 
they have released a newer version of the lightscribe software)

In Konsole, cd to the directory containing the rpm files

i.e.:
cd ~/My_RPM_dir/  ##the '~' is a shortcut /home/<your-username>

then issue this command :
sudo alien --scripts bla-xxxx.rpm  ##substitiute the name of the rpm file here

Then install the resulting deb files as usual:
sudo dpkg -i bla-xxxx.deb
