New kernel and Nvidia confusion

I don't know what to say to #1- As I said i went the easy way and got a stable
nvida driver vers. 1.0-9746. Usually you try what is fit for your kernel, but
I suppose one could go the other way round.
#2, AFAIK I think you can the latest beta from nVidia. Don't know about other
paces.
