Can't get Compiz to work

	I have, and it runs perfectly. But I've noticed Compiz runs much smoother in 
the same machine (Intel Centrino 2GHz laptop w. 512 MB RAM and an Intel 915 
graphics card) under GNOME, so I'm considering using it instead of Beryl. 
Besides, it bothers me that the KDE component doesn't work despite it being 
there. Is it a bug, or have I missed something?
