I had a similar arrangement (nearly) working at the weekend but the
second monitor died and stupidly overwrote the xorg.conf file with my
original backup. I'd got it working at 640X480 8bit colour depth and
was hoping to increase both to see how far I could get. I'm getting
another monitor today. I'll see if I can get to a similar stage again
and post the conf file.
