Kubuntu 7.10 wifi lan problems - could not find how.

Howard,
Thanks for answering. I did try, but did not work.
wicd tries to get the address, but no success.
The only way to get it up, is using kwifi and clicking the activate buttom.
After that, using ifdown eth1; ifup eth1 works.
Any idea?
