That tip will surely be helpful but is no answer to my question, I found out
how to allow executables directly from a CD (if I can remember) but have yet
to find out how to allow this for a hard drive. (Tried running the kate on
ubuntu from suse and had permission denied, even as root)
The other answers you provided will surely be helpful too, when I have time to
try.
I still have a feeling I'm missing an important info, unless it happends
automagically I have no idea where to direct KMail so it finds dovecot.
