KMail from many platforms

i use aptitude /apt-get /synaptic /dpkg
depending if I have a problem that can be solve better way...
As i use devel version of kubuntu 64 bits I often use adept_manager 
--dist-upgrade-devel to have everything on the edge...
But i never had a problem of mix debs as they use the same source.list
