SMB problem: mounting a share on gutsy

I just don't understand. All the advise I gave him isn't working for some
reason. It has me wondering, because the same setup works just fine for me. I
connect to all my shares on boot by using the "auto" option in fstab. For
some reason it doesn't work for him. Unless of course I have missed something
and not fully understood his problem.
