Have you given any thought that the fault might be with the wireless
router? Where does your router sit? Is/Are the antenna(s) removable?
Moving the router/antenna(s) to a higher level will sometimes help.

Do you have a cordless phone? What frequency is it on?
Many cordless phones use 2.4 GHz. The same as the wireless router uses.
This can cause a lot of problems. We moved up to a 5.8 GHz phone. Solved
our wireless problems.

DO you live in an apartment? How close are the other houses? Can you see
any other wireless networks on your computer?
If you can, go into the router setup and change the channel it works on
to an unused channel. There are eleven channels. Most default to Channel
One out of the box. You will also have to reset your wireless network
settings on your laptop.
