AMD is decent, but ATI is crap.  Sorry mate, but you're going to have one hell 
of a time convincing me otherwise.  ATI doesn't know how to write stable 
drivers, they don't share any information that allows anybody else to write 
stable drivers, and their sound card--IXP--is just crap.

Its great that you've had a good experience with them, but even in Windows and 
Mac, ATI is a steaming pile.
