I'm not sure what a printer that "does simplex" means. I assume you mean it
can only print on one side of the page, as opposed to a printer with a
duplexing unit installed.

If so, you just need to print the odd pages first, straighten out the paper,
put it back into the tray in the correct orientation (which you'll have to
determine through experimentation; on my last printer, it was face up, top
facing out, but YMMV) and then print the even pages.

I think you need to check the [x] Reverse box to get it to come out right.

Oh, I'm talking about printing with KPDF, or via anything else that uses the
standard KDE print dialog.

Sorry I'm being rather vague. I haven't done this in quite a long time. I
bought a printer with a duplexing unit, and solved this problem the easy way.
I used to do this frequently, and I wrote down step by step instructions
somewhere, to ensure consistency from batch to batch. I can't find them,
however, to verify I haven't gotten something wrong. It might be even pages
first, then odd, and it might be the reverse checkbox is only needed one time
or the other. Or something. Bah. I barely remember what the hell I'm
talking about.
