VI arrow keys behaviour

Fortunately there is a solution.

Install the "vim full version" by installing these packages and you'll be 
good:

vim 		(which is what you may be using now)
vim-common
vim-full

I think you're either using vim or "vim-tiny"
Here's what I have installed now and my arrow keys work as expected:
vim
vim-common
vim-full
vim-tiny
vim-gui-common
vim-runtime

I'm not sure if (K/X/E) Ubuntu (mint) installs the runtime or tiny by default 
but I do know that when I installed the vim-full things worked like I thought 
they should.
