And don't forget the other letters - a password is usually case sensitive. 
However, the original question was about the benefit of a 10 character 
password compared to 5 characters. The principle of the answer Matt gave 
still applies, even if the base number is bigger. If the password length 
is doubled, it takes far more than double the time to guess the password.
