blender on kubuntu 64AMD

At least I can confirm that it works on my AMD 64 X2 machine running 64 bit 
kubuntu. 
The rest here, I guess, may be a missing or not correctly installed 3D 
graphics driver. Which graphics card do you use, Nvidia or Ati?
