Adept Manager not working

In root mode tried to open Adept manager and got this message: "The APT
Database could not be opened! This may be caused by incorrect APT
configuration or some similar problem"

I tried running apt-setup and apt-get update in terminal and get the
following message
"E: Type 'mozilla' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.
list
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily
unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another
process using it?
E: Type 'mozilla' is not known on line 1 in source list
/etc/apt/sources.list
E: The list of sources could not be read."

I am very new to Linux an need help

Blue tooth adaptor found for 5 seconds and then it says unplugged.....how do
I solve this?
DSL connection freezes Kubundu so badly after 5 minutes of surfing I have to
press reset on the computer to restart......any suggestion to what the
problem could be
