As far as I know, KMail only supports plain text emails, which is the best 
anyways for security reasons (not for us really, but for our users who are 
still using Windows).

What I do is this:

for more info click http://www.kubuntu.org
hehe, it is cheap and cheesy, but safe and secure :)
