adept problem

More error messages would be helpful but you could try this
command in konsole: 
$ sudo fuser -vki /var/lib/dpkg/lock

Then try to start adept.

If that doesn't work you could try:

$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
$ sudo apt-get -f install

And then try adept.
