How/Where to get standard TrueType fonts (Arial, Times New Roman, ...) ?

Can standard TrueType fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman and the like 
be downloaded and/or installed from anywhere for use in Kubuntu 6.06 LTS 
? If so, where from and how?

Any help will be thankfully appreciated
