Be sure that you have K3B verify the written data. I've found that
saves a lot of time.
Also, I don't think that you're tring to mount it correctly. I think
that /etc/fstab should read it as being mounted as a partition type of
"auto." This should cover all the formats (udf, iso9660, etc)
If that doesn't solve it, then my bag of tricks is officially empty.
At that point I'd declare it a decorative item and get on with life.
