Is it possible to share HOME between Edgy and Dapper

If this is being done to make files available to both edgy and
dapper, I'd worry about configuration files being over written. I'd
be more comfortable mounting one partition like the edgy home with
dapper and sharing both that way and keeping the edgy and dapper
configuration files separate.
