Re Kubuntu 6.10 beta-desktop i386-has Alzeimers

I had this happen a couple of times when I first installed. I ran the
reconfigure X (whatever it is called) at the login. After a couple of
times, it remembered (for now anyway). If you tried that, I have no
ideas.
