Might want to paste your /etc/apt/sources.list here so that we can see it.
Both apps are in 'multiverse' as I just did an apt-cache madison for both.
After you added multiverse/universe did you do a sudo apt-get update first
? That is very important of course so it will download the new list of
packages.
