OpenOffice highly unstable

I'm featuring the VERY unstable OOo 2.0.4 now as well.   My OpenOffice.org 
apps will just drop out of existence with no warning, and recovery is a waste 
of time.  I have gotten in the habit of constantly hitting the save button.
