Burning with k3b

I am trying to burn a disc with k3b. I always burn as root to avoid
problems. (the only think I dare do as root). I have it set to
automatic burn mode, x24 speed, although both the burner (LiteOn) and
the disc support x52. The contents is about 480 MB spread out in
different folders/ files. None of the files are "in use" by another
program. (I don't know if this is relevant or not in linux)

One disc burned fine, the second one gets to 48% and stops. The end of
the debug file looks like this:
48.75% done, estimate finish Thu May 25 13:45:34 2006
/usr/bin/mkisofs: Connection reset by peer. cannot fwrite 32768*1

mkisofs command:
-----------------------
/usr/bin/mkisofs -gui -graft-points -volid K3b data project -volset
-appid K3B THE CD KREATOR (C) 1998-2005 SEBASTIAN TRUEG AND THE K3B
TEAM -publisher -preparer -sysid LINUX -volset-size 1 -volset-seqno
1 -sort /tmp/kde-root/k3b2SiXAa.tmp -rational-rock -hide-list
/tmp/kde-root/k3bkP6QUa.tmp -joliet -hide-joliet-list
/tmp/kde-root/k3bYxABkb.tmp -full-iso9660-filenames -iso-level 2
-path-list /tmp/kde-root/k3bhWRmgb.tmp

The entire debug file can be found at:

What can I do to burn this disc? Thank you.
