Openoffice problem with mime types

Hello everybody,
I have installed a dapper 32bit kubuntu in a chroot of an amd64
installation of breezy, to use openoffice 2.0.2 of dapper since the
1.9 avalaible for breezy amd64 is continuously crashing.

It seemed to work without problems, but I have now discoverered this
problem (I am pretty sure it wasn't here before, it seems to depend on
a recent upgrade of dapper):
when I try to open a file from the "open" menu of oowriter (but it's
the same for other components of openoffice) I get this errors:

"Could not find mime type application/octet-stream"

and then

"No mime types installed"

then

"Malformed url file:///home/user"


and the choose file window appears but I can see no files inside it to open.

Instead if I open the file clicking on its icon and choosing to open
it with oowriter there are no problems.
I am thinking to report it as a bug, but before I woluld like to know
if anybody is experiencing the same problem.
