On the shipit website (https://shipit.ubuntu.com/) it says around mid
may (?)
But thats just when they will be available to order, the CD's won't
even be pressed untill June.

If you want to check Kubuntu 6.06 (Dapper Drake) out you can download it:
http://releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/6.06/

Other than that I'm affraid you may just have to wait, (K)Ubunut is a
free and open project that's
maintained by the community so release dates aren't always set in
stone, although Ubuntu aims
to release a new version every 6 months, It can't be released (and
sent to be pressed) untill it's
ready for the end user.

Hope this helps,

Terence Simpson
