It would appear that on May 7, Joe(theWordy)Philbrook:
attempted to post to "gmane.linux.ubuntu.user.kubuntu"...
Somehow my outbox copy didn't have the newsgroup header line.
Thus I'm reposting the message:

Which makes me think that perhaps once the "stable" version of Dapper is
released, it would perhaps only be so "if security related"?

from man apt get:
dist-upgrade in addition to performing the function of upgrade,
also intelligently handles changing dependencies...
It just seamed like the way to go...

Do now, and it did result in a kernel update, Which makes me more
comfortable with what I'll have to do when I go to Dapper.

Would it cause problems if I installed both linux-386 & linux-686 so as
to automatically get to choose to boot either "latest" kernel?
THANKS!
BTW, why "angry"keyboarder???
I like the name, and considering how I feel whenever programmers make it
hard to avoid disturbing my dusty rodent-like pointing device to do
something... I wish I'd thought of it first <grin>
