Hi,

I use a LG GSA-4160.  It can burn every form of DVD/CD format and it has 
worked perfectly on Kubuntu for me.  Where I live, Ontario, it is a 
lower cost drive.

You can check out www.linux.org, they have a great section with list of 
Linux friendly companies.  That is where I usually go when I decide to 
purchase products.
