Syncing Dell x50v with Kubuntu

I have a Dell x50v and currently boot into Windows XP Home once a week
to back up the PIM data. Is there any way that I can do so with
Kubuntu? I know that Evolution can sync with a Palm, but what about a
PocketPC?

I am not so interested in actually using the PIM data in Kubuntu- I
just want to have it backed up in a open format. I don't like the
backup tools (Sprite, for instance) bacause they backup in a format
the can only be restored on the same type of handheld- and my next
handhend will _not_ be a Dell! Thank you.
